The Piha Matariki Festival 2025 is proudly presented by the Piha Recovery Group with support from the Piha R&R and the Waitākere Ranges Local Board.
Piha is on the West Coast of Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa - a handy 45 mins from the CBD. The small coastal town was badly impacted by Cyclone Gabrielle in February 2023. The Piha Matariki Festival was born out of a desire to bring our community and wider friends together to help support the recovery. This year we're continuing the Festival to learn about and to celebrate te ao Māori and to provide an opportunity for the community to come together and remain connected.
Do you have questions or comments about the event? Do you need special accommodations? Send us a message, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
